Does Chiropractic Really Work?

Absolutely! Here is what some major studies have found:

The Rand Study
A 1991 Comprehensive report was conducted by Paul Shekelle, M.D., MPH, an internist on the faculty of UCLA states, “Spinal Manipulation is the most commonly used conservative treatment for low-back pain in terms of early results and long-term effectiveness.” Additional results of the study indicated that spinal manipulation proved better for pain relief than the use of physiotherapy and analgesics.

No Surgery Needed!
Another study of 100 patients with persistent low-back or neck pain were helped after just three weeks of chiropractic treatment. 86% of them reported their alignment corrected, and none needed surgery!

Federal Guidelines
A three-year federal study by the Agency for Health Care Policy & Research found that chiropractic manipulation and non-steroid anti-inflammatory medication are the most effective treatments of choice for acute low-back pain.

Migraine Headaches Gone!
In Australia, the federal government commissioned a study to determine if chiropractic care was effective in treating migraine headaches. 85% who had suffered from migraines for an average of 19 years were divided into three groups. One group received chiropractic care, and the other two groups received traditional medical therapy. All three groups reported some relief, but the chiropractic group reported superiority on all levels studied!

Canadian Back Pain Study
The study - commissioned and funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health - is based on extensive review of International Medical Literature. It’s conclusion: The best clinical studies show that spinal manipulation by chiropractors is more effective, safer and more cost-effective than other treatments for low back pain.
